New Spring Tops

After tackling my own closet edit this spring, I had packed two bags full of donations and three bags full of resale items. And with that, I realized I could use a few new spring tops! Here are the new pieces that I’ve recently added to my closet:

The Madewell (Re)sourced Cotton Short-Sleeve Relaxed Sweatshirt is just a touch cropped, slightly roomy and very comfortable. It’s a heavier weight cotton so something I’ll wear now but not in the dead heat of Austin summer.

The Madewell Floral Eyelet Crop Top does not, in fact, feel cropped (on me). Although it is said to run true to size, I sized up as my normal size was tight across the bust. I’m a sucker for all things linen and this is a linen-blend.

I’m picky with gingham because I don’t want to look like I’m wearing a picnic blanket, but this Old Navy Short-Sleeve Oversized Cropped Crinkled Gingham Shirt works for me. It’s not super oversized and like the Madewell top, it doesn’t feel cropped to me.

Give me all of the Madewell popovers, forever and always. This Lakeline Popover Shirttail Top in Jacquard Stripe appears to be sold out but there were a few similar styles last time I checked their sale.

Did I mention that I love linen? The J Crew Linen roll-cuff crewneck T-shirt is currently marked down in all colors and patterns. I love it in this Summer Green (which feels like Austin FC verde to me…) and envision pairing it with bright white bottoms.

Snagged this J Crew relaxed-fit short-sleeve Baird McNutt Irish linen shirt during a sale. Love the bright, sunny color, the fact that it’s linen, the roomy fit and that it doesn’t gape at the bust.

Despite the J Crew website stating that this V-neck soft gauze popover runs slightly big, I find it to fit true to size. Very soft and comfy. The v-neck is deep so not for the modest. Available in lots of beautiful colors for spring and summer.
