“I contracted with JGP Styled Me for an overdue closet purge and styling tips. I recently retired and no longer needed a closet full of business clothes, but more casual wear.

I highly recommend doing this, especially if you have a lifestyle change. It is worth every penny IMHO.

After roughly 3 hours time, we had gone through my entire closet; I had a 3 foot high pile of clothes to donate along with a clean and organized closet. She also provides a booklet with styling tips for your remaining wardrobe. She created some outfits I would’ve never thought of.

“My closet was a disaster before I contacted Jacquelyn. I’d been working an office job from home during COVID and then retired so my wardrobe was a jumbled mess. And I felt like a jumbled mess when I tried to put together an outfit to leave the house. Jacquelyn to the rescue!

Before I contacted Jacquelyn I’d stare at my closet trying to figure out what to wear for whatever activity I had going on and I rarely felt confident in my results. My closet had too many professional pieces and sweatpants/sweatshirts, but nothing for my retiree lifestyle. I wanted to look casual but pulled together and I couldn’t find that mix in my closet. I scheduled a virtual closet edit with Jacquelyn and I’m SO GLAD I did! It started out as a lot of work, but it was well worth it.

Not only was my closet pared down to wearable pieces, but I found items I thought I’d lost or had forgotten about.

Prior to my Zoom meeting with Jacquelyn, I took a “before” pic my closet and then emptied it. During our call we discussed each piece of clothing, how I wore it, IF I wore it, its condition, and then categorized each piece as keep-donate-sell. By seeing what I had, Jacquelyn was able to see what I needed, and it gave me ideas as well. This takes a good bit of time but was well worth it.

I had way too much office attire I’d never wear again and Jacquelyn made me think about each piece and if it fit into the retiree lifestyle I have now.

After we went thru all my clothes, I took pictures of each piece and uploaded them. Within days, Jacquelyn sent my lookbook with 23 (!!!) outfits I didn’t know were hiding in my closet.

I was amazed at how Jacquelyn put together outfits I’d never thought of. She considered my new lifestyle and made recommendations on wardrobe additions (including links 😊), which were spot on.

This process is a serious investment of time and money and it is worth every minute and every penny! My closet now only contains pieces I wear and I no longer stare at my clothes wondering what will work. As a result, each morning I think about what I’ll be doing and look at my lookbook to determine which thoughtfully-curated outfit Jacquelyn pulled together I’ll choose to wear. I no longer feel like a jumbled mess when I go out and I get compliments on my outfits. Like Jacquelyn said, you really can wear what’s in your closet!!”

“Just a warning, I will probably say "worth every penny" more than once, because that is the phrase that comes to mind every time someone asks me how my Closet Edit went.

I had filled out the online questionnaire and had chatted with Jacquelyn about my goals, so we were ready to tackle my mess of a closet as soon as she arrived. I had already pulled every single piece of clothing from my closet, she inspected and we talked about each item. Do I like it? Do I wear it? Am I comfortable in it? Is there a reason I have three of the same item? I think I'm so mindless in getting dressed every day that I didn't notice tears or stains or fabric pilling like she did.

She was very thoughtful in everything she said and did. I didn't get embarrassed or made to feel badly about what I had in my closet, but felt more like a weight was lifted as we pulled aside things to donate or sell.

We took pictures of each item I kept, and we talked about pieces that I could wear together. After the appointment, she emailed me a lookbook and a list of items (including links) that I need for my closet. The lookbook itself is worth every penny. Jacquelyn put together different outfits and showed me how I can make them casual or dressy by just a few simple changes. I had a cardigan that I think I wore one time because I didn't know what to wear it with, and now I wear it all the time, because I know how to wear it.

Jacquelyn is a lot of fun to work with and I've already recommended her to so many of my friends and co-workers. She is a dream worker in the closet. And worth every penny.”
