Noticing a theme with my favorites for April? They’re all things I have to have when the weather starts to heat up.

Last week I participated in the “Spring in My Closet” style challenge put together by Style Thief Fashion and Urbanite | Suburbanite. The idea was that you don’t have to get hung up on spring trends to be stylish this season (or any season, for that matter). The challenge encouraged you to dress for spring with what’s already in your closet, something I am a huge proponent of doing. Wearing what’s in your closet is a focus not only for how I dress but also for how I work with clients, so I was excited to participate. They created these daily prompts to encourage wearing what’s in your closet for spring:

When it comes to beauty products, I can’t get enough. I love trying new products just as much as I love finding favorites that I can’t live without. So it goes without saying that I live for the Sephora sales. Here’s a sampling of what I got this time around, along with some favorites that I always have on-hand.
