I love summertime and my favorite place to be is by the pool. Living in Austin, that’s pretty much the only place to be in the summer! That’s one of the reasons I prefer high-quality swimsuits—because I wear them so frequently.

One of the things I talk about with my clients during closet edits is what belongs in their closets. This isn’t based on any rules I’m projecting onto my clients but more so guidance that I share based on what they’ve told me about their lifestyle as well as their goals for the closet edit. One of the pieces of advice I give is what I like to refer to as “the power of three;” you should be able to wear every piece of clothing in your closet at least three ways.

Last week I participated in the “Spring in My Closet” style challenge put together by Style Thief Fashion and Urbanite | Suburbanite. The idea was that you don’t have to get hung up on spring trends to be stylish this season (or any season, for that matter). The challenge encouraged you to dress for spring with what’s already in your closet, something I am a huge proponent of doing.
